Job Information – Project Manager

Job-specific missions

Within a teamwork context:

• Manage the project operations team, identify and organise training if required.
• Manage the relationship with the client and contract requirements.
• Manage the operations in coordination with the company network, optimising costs and deadlines.
• Take full ownership of project-level P&L, ensuring financial performance is optimised, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and invoicing in coordination with the IP Head.
• Ensure the availability and suitability of equipment, services and staff.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of services, staffing, and operating procedures.

Job Specification – Project Manager

The Project Manager is directly responsible for the contract administration and mobilization/demobilization phases on the operational, Q-HSE, administrative and financial aspects for the entire project scope. The Project Manager ensures the transition between each contract phase. The Project Manager ensures that contractual commitments agreed with the client are satisfied while managing the risks associated with the project.

The Project Manager is based in London.

Operations Management – International Freight Forwarding

• Define and implement the logistics operational structure, optimise it and control its effectiveness.
• Supervise and optimise timely transport of material.
• Select, implement and control IS‑IT systems.

Reporting

• Maintain detailed financial and operational records, ensuring accurate reporting for P&L tracking, budgeting, and invoicing. Supervise and analyse financial KPIs alongside operational performance.

Q‑HSE

• Ensure compliance of logistics activities and contractors with BLX Q‑HSE, national and international legislation.
• Provide support in any emergency or incident in accordance with HSE contingency plans.
• Participate in the crisis management committee if so requested.

Cost control and budgeting/purchase and contract management

• Lead cost control and budgeting efforts, negotiating contracts and services to ensure financial efficiency while maintaining operational excellence. Oversee financial forecasting and strategic cost management.
• Define and prepare the annual budget.
• Specify, negotiate and make the technical recommendations for service agreements.

Management

• Manage, motivate, direct and train all staff to ensure safe, efficient and economic services.

Required qualifications and background

• Professional experience: between 8 and 15 years of experience in (supervisory) project logistics positions and one or more experience in an Oil & Gas EPC industry, Capital project.
• Proven ability to oversee complex logistics projects, manage financial performance and lead cross-functional teams.
