A reputable SME forwarder founded in 2001 is seeking an Airfreight Operations Specialist to join its growing team. The company delivers global transport and supply chain solutions across air, sea, road and courier services, supporting customers with everything from standard freight to complex, sensitive and oversized cargo.

Their services include full customs clearance, inspection services and 3PL support, with warehousing designed for specialist goods such as pharmaceuticals, fine art, hazardous materials and other sensitive products. They also have strong expertise in break bulk, chartering, out of gauge cargo and other specialist consignments, supported by a ship brokerage team with over 100 years of combined experience. The business additionally manages global removals for individuals and families relocating overseas.

For the successful candidate, this role offers exposure to all major transport modes, specialist cargo handling and end to end supply chain operations within a business known for reliability, flexibility and industry expertise.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end to end airfreight shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Prepare and issue customer quotes
• Arrange transport and coordinate logistics
• Handle airline bookings and maintain strong communication with carriers
• Complete and process customs entries accurately
• Prepare and complete air waybills (AWBs) and associated documentation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including dangerous goods handling

Requirements



• Minimum 2 years experience in airfreight operations
• Strong knowledge of dangerous goods regulations
• Confident completing air waybills (AWBs)
• Solid understanding of end to end freight processes
• Experience with customs procedures and documentation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in an office based environment
