A well‑established, medium‑sized international freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Air Export Operator to join its growing West London operation. Role Overview

The Air Export Operator will be responsible for arranging and managing export shipments from start to finish, including customs brokerage, documentation, and communication with clients, airlines, and internal teams. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage high‑value shipments with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage air freight export shipments from start to finish, including UK and destination customs processes
• Issue MAWB, HAWB, manifests, and all required export documentation
• Prepare and submit export declarations, licences, CITES, and ATA Carnets
• Apply for Carnets and CITES permits when required
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to provide updates and resolve operational issues
• Maintain accurate shipment files and update internal systems
• Liaise professionally with airlines to meet operational requirements and maintain up‑to‑date schedule information
• Ensure all quality control and compliance procedures are followed
• Prepare quotations and complete invoicing accurately and on time
• Support the wider export team to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding or logistics (air export essential)
• Experience handling high‑value or specialist cargo (preferred)
• Strong customer focus with a positive, professional attitude
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Good knowledge of customs regulations and export procedures
• Experience with AS400, SAP, MS Office (preferred)
• Knowledge of CDS for customs entries (desirable)
• Fluency in English; Italian or French beneficial
• Clean criminal record (DBS check required)
